Beautiful place to relax and unwind, stunning views, great location close to both Montville and Maleny.
Villa had everything you needed fireplace, double spa, twin shower, large bed and all kitchen amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Apart from the friendly owner (Ken) who called in and made sure everything was satisfactory, you would swear you were the only ones there from how well set out the villas are.
Would stay here again.

We had such a great stay. The staff were lovely, the villa was so clean and beautiful. The view and serenity were just what was needed. Will stay again!

Friendly owner checked us in giving us great info on local dining establishments. Beautiful property that was secluded and quiet. We had an older style bungalow which was well equipped and comfortable for a short stay. The bungalow was smaller than I had realised and was located towards the bottom of the property so none of the spectacular views they had from the top. It would be nice to have had a more comfortable table and chairs set on the veranda more in keeping with the Balinese theme.
It was nice having a wood heater in the room and also a spa.
Nice place to stay however if you’re looking to just chill out at the property would recommend staying in the newer, bigger dwellings which offer more room to move.

Wow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good!
1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths.
2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides..
3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!)
4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic.....
5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper.
6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote.
So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat.

Tucked away in private bush land with a fireplace and spa bath to unwind and enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Maleny Tropical Retreat Balinese Bnb. Will most definitely return in the future.

We loved the quiet and private villas overlooking such incredible views. The location was close to both Montville and Maleny. Very comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Bonus was the double spa.

We liked that the units were private and the view was lovely. It was quiet except for a bit of road noise but that is to be expected with the location. I did feel the units are a little dated and not like the pictures. The crockery was chipped and the towels were fraying around the edges.

Amazingly private and spacious room with Balinese inspired decor. Tasty continental brekkie basket provided with yummy local yoghurt. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the room and outlook so much we didn’t feel the need to go out much. Just chilled with books and coffee.
